In The Loop is an exploration of script-making and crafting and teaches aspects of readability, angle, stroke variation and more. Leah taught participants what is most effective in creating longevity and elegance. Her workshop focuses on mimicking natural lines and translating letterforms to digital forms with bézier curves.

Los Angeles-based artist (who just recently moved to Austin), Angela Southern earned her advertising degree from Michigan State University and graduated from a small portfolio school afterwards. She learned her craft as a lettering artist and illustrator on the job as a sign artist at Trader Joe's from other professional lettering artists at the company and became good at cranking out lots of artwork under deadline.
Michael Doret Advances "Wreck-It Ralph" to the Next Level
Wreck-It Ralph is a wildly popular Walt Disney animated film about a villain who's tired of being the ‘bad guy’ after 30 years inside an aging coin-operated video game called “Fix-It Felix Jr.” The film chronicles how Ralph goes off to explore other games in the arcade to heroically win a medal and earn the respect from the other game characters. Letterform artist Michael Doret designed the arcade-styled title treatment which helped to fuel the success of the movie.
